  1. Macbeth is a great warrior. According to a sergeant's account of the way Macbeth fought in the battle, he is stated as so brave and went all out against Macdobwald's army. The sergeant also said that Macbeth handled his sword like it is an extension to his body. This shows that he is a relentless and courageous fighter who would fight until the end. He fought in two glorious battles and won and would be remembered as a Scottish hero.

  2. Macbeth is a sane man not insane as portrayed by many. He is not delirious to me because he first objects Lady Macbeth's plan to kill King Duncan. He is in hesitation as he sees it unfit to kill someone who has risen him to a better position in a community. Even after the murder of King Duncan, he saw a floating dagger which signifies his guilt, something that was haunting him over and over again. He even yelled at an empty seat in which he saw Banquo who he ordered to be killed after murdering King Duncan. He was in his deepest fears and desires. He was having trauma after the killing of his best friend, Banquo, and the hallucination he experienced was a normal phenomenon which could happen to any sane human being guilty of wrongdoings.

  3. He is superstitious as he believes the witches' prediction. He wanted to hear more of his future and would want the witches to stay to explain to him his fate. When he gets his title as the Thane of Cawdor, he starts to believe in the witches more. Therefore, he has in mind that he is destined to be the King of Scotland, and that is why the killing of King Duncan takes place. No just that, he even counsels the witches for more so called advice about his future but could not really understand what the apparitions are trying to explain regarding the events about to occur next.
